Ivanley Noisette

Legal Fellow

Ivanley Noisette is the 2019 – 2020 George N. Lindsay legal fellow at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. He earned a JD at Georgetown Law in Washington, DC. As a law student, he interned with the Educational Opportunities Project team at the Lawyers’ Committee, and with the Economic Justice and Policy teams at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. He earned a master’s degree in Education Policy and Management from Harvard University and completed a Center for Public Leadership fellowship at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

Prior to law school, Noisette served as the Dean of Culture at KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy in Philadelphia, PA. At KIPP DuBois, he developed a human rights enrichment curriculum and a restorative justice-based character development curriculum. From 2011 – 2012, he studied as a Mitchell Scholar at the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland, earning an LLM in Human Rights Law.

Noisette is a graduate of Villanova University where he earned a BA in Political Science, with concentrations in Africana Studies, Peace & Justice, and History. In 2012, he was awarded the Villanova University Alumni Medallion. He currently serves on the board of Anseye Pou Ayiti, an organization that is leading a movement to transform the education outcomes of students from rural areas in Haiti by recruiting outstanding Haitian teacher-leaders and using innovative pedagogical approaches rooted in Haitian culture, customs and community.
