Legacy Giving
If you want to continue to support the fight for civil rights beyond your lifetime, then legacy giving is the donation option for you.
When you choose to leave a legacy donation to the Lawyers’ Committee, it doesn’t mean your family will be negatively affected. By leaving a percentage of your will, like 15% or 20%, you can ensure that you are providing for your family’s needs while still donating to a cause you value.
Memorial GivingCommemorate the life and memory of a friend or relative by donating to support the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law in our continued struggle for equality.
By donating in the name of a deceased loved one, you can help their legacy live on.

Specific Giving Help us fight voter suppression with a donation specifically to Election Protection, the coalition created to help voters navigate an unfair and unjust system and make sure every ballot cast is properly counted.
Your targeted donation frees up other resources at the Lawyers’ Committee to aid in other initiatives, and it ensures that Election Protection will have the support it needs moving forward.
Workplace GivingTo increase the impact of your gift to the Lawyers’ Committee, see if your workplace matches donations. Ask your human resources department about your employer’s workplace giving options, as many companies will match your contribution up to a pre-determined limit.
You can also donate to us through your local United Way affiliate if you write in “The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law” as your designee.
Fundraise for Lawyers’ CommitteeSkip the traditional wedding registry, throw out your Christmas list, and forget asking for birthday gifts – why not fundraise with the Lawyers’ Committee? Any major milestone in your life, from running a marathon to getting married, is an opportunity to give back by asking your loved ones for donations to the Lawyers’ Committee instead of earthly possessions.

Combined Federal Campaign
The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law is participating in this year’s Combined Federal Campaign which allows federal government employees to support our work by designating us as an organization to receive donations. Your pledge helps us continue our fight to secure equal justice for all through the rule of law, targeting in particular the inequities confronting African Americans and other racial and ethnic minorities. CFC Code: 24650
President’s Leadership CircleWe are excited to offer a new Lawyers’ Committee membership opportunity to our most influential donors. For gifts of $10,000+ per year, donors will be invited to join the President’s Leadership Circle.
Your membership would provide our resources to respond quickly and effectively to civil rights crises. Membership includes two tickets to the Leon A. Higginbotham Awards Dinner in New York City in June, as well as updates on our organization throughout the year.
Donor-Advised FundsIf you participate in a donor-advised fund, consider using it to support the Lawyers’ Committee. We accept funding from DAFs and appreciate the additional support.
