Morgan Conley

National Coordinator, Election Protection

Morgan Conley is a National Coordinator for Election Protection (EP) and has been with the Lawyers’ Committee since the 2018 Midterm elections. She currently supports EP in New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. She also co-leads the EP data and technology working group, which supports EP coalition members in all things related to tech, cyber and digital security, and data.

Inspired by the Jewish values of tzedekah and tikkun olam, Morgan is driven by strong sense of duty to serve and protect her community. Her experience crosses the international and domestic arenas, allowing for a critical, comparative understanding of oppressive government and political systems, and the shared struggles of historically marginalized groups. Morgan is a fierce anti-Capitalist, ant-Racist, and anti-Zionist. She loves cooking, is a habitual stress-baker, has a large family of plants that she lovingly tends to, and recently completed a yoga teacher training.

Prior to joining the Lawyers’ Committee, Morgan earned a master’s degree in International Studies from the University of Washington. At UW, she served in the graduate student union and fought for protections for international students who faced an inequitable fee increase by the university administration. Before moving to Seattle, Morgan worked in legal aid in the Boston area, representing clients in SNAP and TANF cases at Jewish Family & Children’s Service. While at JF&CS, she also helped coordinate a local eviction clinic. Before JF&CS, Morgan served in AmeriCorps Legal Advocates of Massachusetts, where she conducted intake for landlord-tenant and emergency shelter cases, ran a weekly eviction clinic, and launched a records expungement project. Morgan earned a bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University.
