Luis Patino, III

Assistant

Luis Patiño III is the Legal Assistant for the Voting Rights Project. In his role, Luis works with both the Litigation and Election Protection organizing teams, and supports the VRP’s work across policy advocacy, census organizing, and redistricting.  

Prior to working at the Lawyers’ Committee, Luis worked as a clinical fellow with the Environmental Justice Clinic at Yale Law School. Previously he was a Digital Organizer with Hillary for America, and a campaign intern with Kamala Harris for US Senate.

Luis is originally from Sacramento, California, and graduated from Yale University in 2018 with a BA in Political Science. At Yale, Luis was elected to represent his residential college on the Yale College Council. He also organized with two New Haven city council campaigns and served as a Committee Director with the World Youth Economic Forum in Shanghai, China.
