Human Resources Assistant

Joining the Lawyers’ Committee in May of 1987 as a Receptionist, Kathy has persistently evolved throughout her professional career, adopting more than 30 years of experience in human resource management and executive administration. She now serves as the Human Resources Assistant within the office’s Administrative Department where she specializes in employment relations, including recruiting, performance management, employee development, employee engagement, and new hire training. She also has extensive hands-on experience leading HR initiatives in benefits administration, workers’ compensation, record maintenance, employee relations and compliance.

Prior to joining the team, Kathy held the position as Human Resource Coordinator and Recordkeeper at the Department of Employment Services (DOES) for five years in the Office of Compliance.  Kathy is most proud of her ability to successfully assist the Lawyers’ Committee team with highly skilled professional staff and law professionals, such as lawyers and research fellows, under the new leadership of Lisa Bornstein, the Vice President, Strategy and Policy.
