National Coordinator, Voting Rights & Stop Hate Project
Justin Kwasa splits his time between the Voting Rights Project and the Stop Hate Project. Prior to joining the Lawyer’s Committee, Justin worked as an Outreach Specialist at the Union of Concerned Scientists. While there, he helped scientists, engineers, and public health professionals transfer their technical expertise into advocacy on issues such as climate change, food production, and global security. In addition to helping run a Get Out the Vote campaign office during the 2012 Presidential Election, Justin also has experience in the education world. First as an elementary school teacher in his hometown of Chicago, and then working as an Advocacy Manager at Northeast Charter Schools Network in the states of New York and Connecticut.
