Angela M. Lovelace*

Chief Financial Officer

Angela M. Lovelace serves as the Chief Financial Officer at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law where she leads the Accounting team, and is responsible for all aspects of the accounting and finance function as it relates to the organization including but limited to the preparation of the monthly financial reports, providing financial statement analysis, preparing budgets, and providing audit support.

Prior to joining the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, Ms. Lovelace was Vice President of Finance and Administration at the Leadership Conference on Civil & Human Rights and the Leadership Conference Education Fund. There she oversaw the daily accounting and financial operations, served as the organizations’ chief financial manager and analyst, and engaged in collaborative efforts with the board of directors and related committees, executive leadership team, and project managers to facilitate and manage the organizations’ financial operations.

Ms. Lovelace is a talented professional with more than 20 years of experience in every aspect of financial functions such as financial reporting, accounting operations, auditing, taxation, and budgeting and forecasting. She also has a background in grants administration, payroll, benefits management and general human resources. Her experience includes service at Raffa & Associates; the Architect of the Capitol; National Electrical Manufacturers Association; Aronson, Fetridge & Weigle CPAs; Civil Engineering Research Foundation/International Institute for Energy Conservation; the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association; and MCI, Inc.

In addition, Ms. Lovelace serves as the treasurer of a nonprofit organization in her community. She is a certified nonprofit accounting professional (CNAP). She holds a Master of Public Administration, a Master of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management, and a BSBA degree with a concentration in accounting from American University.
