Voting Rights Communication Pipelines: Georgia after Shelby County

On the third anniversary of the Shelby County v. Holder, the Lawyer’s Committee focuses on the value of Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act through the lens of Georgia and the work being down by national and state advocacy groups to defend the right to vote.

The report highlights the work the Georgia Coalition for the People’s Agenda (People’s Agenda), the New Georgia Project (NGP), the Georgia State Conference of the NAACP (Georgia NAACP), and ProGeorgia have been doing on the ground to facilitate coordinated strategies for detecting and stopping voting rights violations.
