Election Protection 2010 Report
December 31, 2010 | Download
The 2010 Election protection coalition consisted of over 70 national non-partisan organizations, along with state and local partners. This coalition organized Election Protection Legal Committees, received over 20,000 calls from voters, trained 2,000 legal volunteers, assisted voters at polls in 20 states, and collected 13,350 reports of voter questions and problems in the Our Vote Live database. 2010 demonstrated that, although great progress has been made, an election system that provides equal and complete access to all eligible systems has yet to be realized, and the Supreme Court decision in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission created new challenges, which makes Election Protection more necessary now than ever.
