Senior Counsel

Marc Epstein is Senior Counsel for the Digital Justice Initiative. As Senior Counsel, Marc is responsible for litigating cases related to technology and racial justice, including those involving issues of consumer privacy, algorithmic bias, discriminatory advertising, election disinformation, free speech, online hate group activity, content moderation, and government surveillance.

Prior to joining the Lawyers’ Committee, Marc was an associate at a private law firm, where he engaged in complex commercial and transnational litigation. Marc maintained an active pro bono practice, representing clients in numerous civil rights, immigration, and other proceedings.

Marc clerked for the Honorable Vincent L. Briccetti in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. He received a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where he subsequently served as an Adjunct Professor of Legal Writing.”
